I am Leonardo Jul, born in Spain and based in The Hague, The Netherlands, and I am a guitarist, composer and producer.

I started studying flamenco guitar at the age of 15. From the very first time I picked up my instrument, I felt the need to create, the urge to express myself through that instrument.

​

During the following years, I wrote for several bands, recorded both professionally and at home, and started a process of finding the tools to say what I had to.

 

In 2013 I was graduated in telecoms engineering at the UCAM university in Murcia, Spain and specialized in audio engineering. I graduated in jazz guitar at the Zuyd Hogeschool university, in Maastricht, with a strong focus in composing and orchestration, for both classical and jazz music. There I took lessons from Jan Fornannoy, Joachim Schoenecker, Wolfgang Braun and Leon Lhoest.

Former guitarist of Shadows Theory, my experience ranges from composing for guitar or progressive metal quartet to choir, orchestra or big band, among others.

Today, my focus and professional aim is writing and producing music for motion picture and mass media.
